These six episodes of the porter Wagoner were just restored and converted to digital video. Filmed in 1961 and 1962, this rare footage features stars from the Grand Ole Opry. Legends in country music like Stringbean, Grandpa Jones, Archie Campbell, Jimmy C. Newman, Billy Grammer and Cowboy Copas.
Sit back and enjoy this special collection as it takes you back to the early 60's. A special time in America and a very special time in Country Music.

In very rare footage, Hawkshaw Hawkins opens the show. Bill Anderson is the featured artist in the next show from 1961. Tex Ritter is next in a show from 1963. From 1967, Bobby Bare, Chet Atkins and Merle Travis are the featured artists. There is an interesting segment in the Mel Travis show where Tex Ritter and Porter talk about the new "Country Music Hall of Fame". Each show features songs from Norma Jean and the Wagonmasters and comedy from Speck Rhodes.
